About Lindy & Aspen Song
As a dancer, a yogi, and an artist, Lindy joyfully presents Aspen Song, the name for her gifts which was inspired by the mesmerizing, whispering sound of the wind through the aspen leaves. Aspen Song was born out of an unstoppable outpouring of love and creativity. Each living entity has something to share, and this is how Lindy has brought together what she has to offer.
Aspen Song operates in the Comox Valley, the traditional home and unceded territory of the K’omox Nation, the traditional keepers of their beautiful land.
Lindy has been a dancer all her life, and has practiced yoga for almost two decades. Yoga mats and dance floors are among her favourite locations for self-expression and soul connection. Since choosing to walk the path of a Yogi, her passion for the practice has grown dramatically.
She recently moved to the beautiful Comox Valley, where she lives, breathes, and moves. Formerly, Pemberton BC was home, where she locally completed her 200hr YTT and a 30hr Yin YTT. She has a loving husband, two joy-filled, active boys, a fluffy dog, and a plethora of plants. Teaching yoga, grounding and holding space for spiritual connection is just the right balance for her busy life.
Practicing the Art of Yoga, the postures, meditation, and breathwork, allows for total connection of mind, body, and spirit. It is an experience that is uniquely yours, and is fluid. Some days, on your mat, your experience may be simply about breathing and stretching. Other days, you may have profound moments, physical breakthroughs, or self-realizations that seem to have come out of nowhere.
Lindy’s journey as a dancer and yogi informs her teaching style, allowing her to blend the grace of dance with the serenity of yoga. Her classes are an opportunity to connect with the body, mind, and spirit. Join Lindy in the exploration of movement, self-discovery, and community. Embrace the joy of dance and the peace of yoga with Lindy's unique classes crafted with love and expertise.
Lindy provides the space for her students to connect their breath and movements to the rhythm of the universe. We place emphasis on the breath, tuning inward, making space for what's needed and for what could be.
Lindy's personal practice involves living life from a place of love, and inner knowing of our universal connection. We are all One.
May you invite the love within your being to flow freely,
deepening your conscious connection to all things everywhere.
AN INVITATION TO SELF
I lead every one of my classes with the importance of self-love and acceptance for how we each show up in the moment. I clearly invite and remind my students that we begin by listening to and honouring our body’s freedoms and limitations.
Being a part of the circle is powerful: I welcome honouring one’s call to let the body find comfort and safety in its own preferred movements or stillness. By openly acknowledging this, I give each student autonomy for their experience and a role in allowing their fellow classmates the acceptance to be.
My yoga and dance classes embody my love for movement and mindfulness, creating a welcoming space, free of judgement, for all to explore and grow.
— LINDY
Tune inward, and Find the quiet and stillness that lies within the breath.
